Senior Functional Analyst Consultant - SAP EHSM

On behalf of our Calgary based transportation client, Brainhunter Systems Ltd. is looking to hire a Senior Functional Analyst (SAP EHSM) for an upcoming consulting opportunity.

Please note: This is a fully on-site position.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Senior Specialist Functional Analyst will drive forward the vision, planning, design and functionality of SAP EHSM solutions. The chosen candidate will support our client's commitment to safety excellence by utilizing SAP EHS solutions and technologies.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    • Analysis, design, configuration and delivery of EHSM projects and sustainment activities
    • Supporting and driving forward process methodology, standards and work you're doing that support corporate, divisional and departmental objectives and procedures
    • Working across all functions within various portfolios, analyzing requests, high level estimates, functional design documents and other work associated with system analysis and development
    • Researching standard methodology and solutions to meet business requirements
    • Perform requirements analysis to develop models, prioritize, coordinate, validate and verify requirements
    • Develop functional specifications and perform system configuration
    • Develop diagrams and models (use case, activity diagram, business process models, etc.) and clearly document functional requirements and business rules to describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business and user requirements
    • Identify assumptions, constraints, and anticipate and handle risks
    • Complete application service requests, provide continual business application support, research transactional issues, identify root causes as well as assist with upgrade and maintenance of applications
    • Communicate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems to technical teams designing and implementing the solution. Assist with crafting user guides and training
    • Support the development of the test strategy and test plans. Ensure traceability of requirements back to business need as well as through to solution and testing. Validate the solution meets the business need and verify it conforms to specifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Commerce/Business Administration or equivalent practical experience
    • 8+ years of experience in SAP EHSM Component Extension 3.0 and above including SAP Business/Functional Analysis experience with growing degrees of responsibility
    • Extensive functional or technical expertise in projects and supporting SAP EHSM and S4HANA
    • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with business clients for offering and/or evaluating and implementing suggestions for enhanced system functionality
    • Excellent documentation skills
    • Experience in SAP EAM would be considered an asset
