The Opportunity

Build the Future With Us - Step into a role where your expertise in Indigenous and stakeholder engagement will make tangible, lasting impact across resource, energy, and infrastructure projects. As part of our Indigenous & Stakeholder Engagement and Information Management (ISEIM) team, you'll guide project delivery, support team success, and ensure communities, clients, and partners feel genuinely heard and informed.

Your Impact
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth across project cycles.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects with strong planning, prioritization, and time-management to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop strategies and engagement approaches that align with WSP's national and regional goals while supporting sustainable, community-focused outcomes.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with Indigenous Nations, community groups, government bodies, and private industry stakeholders.
  • Draft, edit, and refine communication materials, engagement plans, and regulatory documentation with clarity and consistency.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver stakeholder meetings, community events, engagement sessions, and virtual forums.
  • Identify operational efficiencies, refine processes, and champion best practices to improve delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Uphold quality assurance standards across all deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the resource or energy infrastructure sector, with an established relationship network.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory permitting bodies in Western Canada.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and cultivating collaborative, supportive working environments.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous history, culture, and governance.
  • Experience coordinating and executing complex engagement events, from concept to delivery.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve with confidence and adapt quickly to evolving project needs.
  • Strong client-relationship building skills with a track record of trusted partnerships.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
