What- The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Trainer to support training and learning initiatives for a large, complex organization undergoing significant technology and business transformation.
This role will lead training initiatives supporting both project and operational needs. The successful candidate will assess learning needs and target audiences, develop role-based training strategies, and design, deliver, evaluate, and maintain a range of learning solutions.
This is a hands-on role that combines instructional design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. You’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, translate complex systems and processes into practical learning, and ensure training remains accurate, accessible, and relevant.
Key responsibilities include:
$45-50/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay.

This role will lead training initiatives supporting both project and operational needs. The successful candidate will assess learning needs and target audiences, develop role-based training strategies, and design, deliver, evaluate, and maintain a range of learning solutions.
This is a hands-on role that combines instructional design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. You’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, translate complex systems and processes into practical learning, and ensure training remains accurate, accessible, and relevant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead training initiatives by conducting learning needs and audience assessments, developing role-based training strategies, selecting appropriate delivery methods, and establishing measures of success.
- Assess job roles, work environments, and business processes to ensure training is practical, relevant, and supports effective system adoption.
- Design, develop, deliver, and maintain learning solutions including instructor-led and virtual training, e-learning, videos, multimedia content, digital adoption resources, job aids, and quick reference guides.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, accessibility standards, and user-centred design practices.
- Facilitate both live and virtual training for technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex systems and business processes into clear, practical workflows.
- Work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and project teams to gather and validate requirements, incorporate feedback, and coordinate training readiness and delivery.
- Manage multiple training initiatives and deliverables, including planning, prioritization, dependencies, risks, progress reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Establish and follow training governance processes, including review and approval, quality assurance, version control, accessibility, and ongoing content maintenance.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, performance measures, and adoption data, using insights to make continuous improvements.
- Use digital adoption, multimedia, collaboration, content-development, and AI-enabled tools to enhance training development, delivery, learner support, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior trainers and contributors to support consistent delivery and high-quality learning products.
- Degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field with 2+ years of related experience, or a diploma with 4+ years of related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of experience conducting learning needs analysis, audience/role assessments, work-context analysis, and requirements gathering.
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, multimedia, job aids, and performance support.
- 2+ years of experience facilitating instructor-led and virtual training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex systems and processes into clear, practical learning.
- Experience with digital adoption platforms, such as WalkMe or similar tools.
- Experience creating e-learning, instructional videos, multimedia, or other digital learning content, using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Canva, Vyond, Adobe, or similar.
- Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholder feedback, and working with subject matter experts to deliver learning solutions within timelines.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to support instructional design, analysis, or content development.
- Experience evaluating training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, performance measures, or adoption data.
- Experience developing training for ERP or other enterprise systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms.
$45-50/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay.
