This role is hands-on, purpose-driven, and designed for early-career professionals who want to build technical depth while shaping real-world outcomes for communities, ecosystems, and future generations.

You'll join a collaborative, supportive team where curiosity is encouraged, learning is continuous, and you can grow your career surrounded by experts who care about your development as much as the work itself.

Your Impact
  • Participate in field-based soil assessment programs, including soil data collection, analysis, and classification.
  • Support environmental construction monitoring on active project sites.
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions, reporting, and permit documentation with clarity and accuracy.
  • Apply your problem-solving skills to evolving field conditions and project requirements.
  • Work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, solutions-focused work.
  • Travel to and work in remote outdoor environments, including rotational schedules such as 6 days on / 1 day off.
  • Operate safely around heavy equipment and in dynamic field environments.
  • Demonstrate project and technical knowledge while seeking guidance from senior specialists.
  • Maintain organized field notes, documentation, and data integrity.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) practices (training provided).

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A diploma or degree in Environmental Sciences-or currently completing one.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian System of Soil Classification and the AGRASID 4.0 database.
  • Understanding of erosion and sediment control, ecological succession, and land reclamation in agricultural and forested environments.
  • Previous field, construction, or agricultural experience is an asset.
  • Able to work outdoors in varied environmental conditions and remote locations.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract.
  • Safety certifications such as Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, TDG, WHMIS, or PCST are considered assets (training available).
  • Eligible for registration with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA) In-Training Program.
