The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead - Step into a senior technical leadership role where your expertise will shape the future of mine waste management across British Columbia, the Prairies, and Northern Canada. As the regional lead for our Mine Waste Dumps and Stockpile practice, you'll drive innovation, mentor emerging talent, and expand our impact across diverse geographies and clients.
Your Impact
- Lead technical excellence and strategic direction for mine waste dumps and stockpile projects across Western and Northern Canada
- Champion innovation and best practices in mine waste design, operations, and closure
- Mentor and develop intermediate and senior engineers into future industry leaders
- Strengthen client relationships and represent WSP at key industry forums and conferences
- Author internal guidance and contribute to external publications to elevate WSP's thought leadership
- 15+ years of experience in mine waste dump and stockpile management across varied terrains and project types
- Deep knowledge of Canadian mining operations, especially in BC, the Prairies, and Northern territories
- Proven leadership in technical working groups, conference presentations, and practice development
- Strong industry network with major mining clients and stakeholders
- Professional designation in engineering (P.Eng. or equivalent) and eligibility for registration in relevant provinces
- Passion for empowering others and driving meaningful change in the mining sector

MB & ON: $177,600 - $244,600
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $175,800 - $233,500
