Based in downtown Canmore, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and just 20 minutes from Banff National Park, you'll work on award-winning Municipal, Civil Land Development, and Transportation projects that make a real impact.
As a CAD Technician in our Land Development and Municipal Engineering team, you'll collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to bring innovative solutions to life. From conceptual design to completion, you'll apply your AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise on local projects and contribute to national initiatives across Canada. This role also offers opportunities for project coordination and fieldwork-see your designs come to life.
Your Impact
- Apply AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise to deliver high-quality designs from concept through completion.
- Prepare precise engineering drawings that meet industry and WSP standards.
- Contribute to the design of infrastructure such as grading, underground utilities, roads, and trails.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Support project management and coordination activities, including on-site inspections (based on interest and experience).
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting.
- Minimum 5+ years of AutoCAD drafting and design experience (all levels encouraged to apply).
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with ASET.
- Experience in land development and/or municipal infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Motivated, adaptable, and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Bonus: Project management or coordination experience and fieldwork exposure.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
