In this role, you'll collaborate with brilliant minds and contribute to high-profile projects that shape communities in Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
You'll support our Municipal Infrastructure team, coordinating with WSP Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with quality results. This role combines field inspections, contract administration, and survey work, while offering opportunities to influence design and tender documents during winter months.
Your Impact
- Lead on-site inspections and construction survey layouts for municipal improvement projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet contractual and design specifications.
- Champion safety and compliance, setting the standard for safe work practices.
- Manage project documentation, progress tracking, and change control processes.
- Support tender preparation, evaluation, and contractor performance reviews.
- Contribute constructability reviews and provide proactive input to design teams.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Civil Engineer (APEGA registered) or Civil/Construction Engineering Technologist with municipal construction experience.
- 7+ years in contract administration, project coordination, and site inspections.
- Expertise in roadway improvements, sewers, watermains, drainage, and municipal infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Civil3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work independently on rural sites.
- Strong understanding of project planning, risk, cost, and schedule management.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
